About Maja Leye
All things women’s cycling and sustainability at Flanders Classics. I began my career as an all-rounder before getting the opportunity to specialize in two areas close to my heart: equality and sustainability. In this role, I developed and lead the Closing The Gap project, promoting equal opportunities and visibility for women’s cycling since 2020. I also served as Sustainability Manager during the 2021 UCI Road World Championships in Flanders and advised at the 2024 European Road Championships, developing strategies to reduce the ecological footprint. With a background in communication and event organization, I thrive at the intersection of vision and action. I am a passionate believer in the power of sport to drive positive change and strongly believe that sport can be both competitive and conscious.
