About Makayla Stratton
Education has always been my passion, I was raised by an educator and have always know that teaching was in my future. There is just something special about the moment that a student has that "light bulb" moment and you were the one that sparked it. The Spanish language is my expertise and I have helped in classrooms in Honduras for the past five years of my life while on mission trips. Communication skills are imperative in today's times and bilingualism is just the beginning to building those skills in students lives. Working in the student involvement center as well as my own 15 years of education I have developed people skills as well as a desire to be a betterment to the lives of students. As I finish my senior year here at SFASU I am applying to many school districts in hope of getting my own classroom and to be a Spanish teacher that leaves my students feeling inspired and culturally educated.
