About Maksym Beichuk

I began my career as a site engineer, becoming involved in both infrastructural and hydrotechnical projects, including the construction of local highways and flood defense infrastructure (such as embankments, weirs, protection walls, etc.) in Wroclaw, Poland. I was responsible for supervising crew members, preparing estimates of time and material costs, ensuring quality assurance, adhering to health and safety standards, and compiling reports for different stakeholders.Subsequently, I worked at a designing services firm where I was engaged in creating BIM models (with Allplan as the preferred software) and documenting apartment buildings in Munich, Germany.I then commenced my career at ARUP as an Assistant Structural Engineer at the Warsaw office in Poland. In addition to my role in the Structural team, I actively supported the Geotechnical team. Currently, I serve as a Resident Engineer on the PSE Radom project.I possess strong skills in utilizing geotechnical design software such as Plaxis 2D/3D, Geo-5, and Oasys software. I am also proficient in CAD/BIM software, including Revit, Allplan, AutoCAD, CIVIL 3D, Microstation, and OpenRoads. Furthermore, I am familiar with structural design programs like Robot and Abaqus.My keen interest lies in the application of the Finite Element Method (FEM) to address geotechnical and structural design challenges. Additionally, I am in the process of learning the Python programming language to enhance the efficiency of the design process. For instance, I have developed simple scripts to rapidly iterate through parameters for back analysis in Oasys Slope software. I also use Python to effectively analyze project data on the CDE platform.
