I hold an LLM and an Admitted Attorney and Conveyancer. I have 23 years post articles experience with expertise in litigation and conveyancing. I have experience as a legal advisor in the Banking and Finance Sectors most notably reviewing and optimizing processes and policies as well as review and amendments to all agreements, SLA’s and incidental legal documentation. I have conducted due diligence reviews of a few State owned enterprises and accordingly au fait with the Public Sector regulatory/legislative system. In my numerous years in the property sector, I have negotiated high value transactions, agreements and was involved in structuring corporate property finance transactions in South Africa and cross border. I provided legal advice to the CEO, executive heads, developments (South Africa and the rest of Africa) and development managers on all legal agreements, negotiations, legislation, risk management and compliance issues for all matters incidental to construction, development and property management in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Ghana, Nigeria, Malawi Lesotho, Mozambique, and Zambia. While at the JSE, I was responsible for amending the JSE listing requirements and aligning it with the Companies Act of 2008. In my time at Integrated Processing solutions, I was involved in a JV/M&A for the card not present technology involving four of the largest Banks and two of the largest Telecommunications companies.
