About Malcolm Boone

I’m a former professional basketball player turned elementary school teacher and mental health advocate. During my seven year stint as a third grade educator, I began noticing the power of breathwork, affirmations, and mindful movement; three components that I strategically integrated into my classrooms throughout the school day. Over time, I quickly realized how transformative this routine was for my students’ lives both inside and outside of the classroom and this both challenged and inspired me to take my passion a step further. From then on, I’ve made it my life’s mission to share this messaging with as many individuals as possible to help them enhance their overall mental well-being. Currently, I am the Coordinator of Lower School Health and Wellness at Rabun Gap Nacoochee School and my focus is helping students understand the power behind how we breathe in order to enhance focus, reduce stress, and improve our lives from the inside out. In addition, I help students find strength in the power of affirmations through a daily practice which challenges them to look inward in order to see how much they have and can continue to grow. Lastly, I help students build intentional mindfulness habits through exercises and movement in order to develop a tool that allows them to ground themselves with the present moment. Above all, I'm helping others utilize a tool that lies within and can have immense power if we allow it to.
