About Malcolm Mifsud
In the years 1990 to 1995 Dr Mifsud work experience started as an associate with one of the largest law firms in Malta, where he was assigned a number of duties and clients in the maritime law department, corporate department and also litigation department, until he co-founded a new law firm Griscti & Mifsud Advocates, which law firm has now developed to Mifsud & Mifsud Advocates. In 2002 and 2003, leading to Malta’s accession to the European Union, Dr Mifsud was appointed by the Minister of Justice and Local Government as a legal reviser with the Translations & Law Drafting Unit, within the Ministry. In February the Minister for Economic Services appointed Dr Mifsud director of the Gozo Channel Company Limited, a government owned company which offers a transport service between Malta and its sister island Gozo. Dr Mifsud held this position until 2003. In 2007, Dr Mifsud was appointed an arbiter by the Malta Arbitration Centre and has decided a number of cases. Specialties: corporate law, maritime law
