About Malcolm Rees

Worked within the Formwork & Falsework sector of the Construction Industry since 1981. During this time worked for two of the largest suppliers of Scaffolding, Formwork & Falsework.GKN Kwikform (now RMD Kwikform) & SGB. Started with GKN Kwikform from school in 1981. Joined SGB in 1994 working for SGB Baroom in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Mainly looking after the Design Office but also involved with implementing & improving Health & Safety. Implemented procedures. From Nov 2003 spent 22 successful months working @ the Dubai Airport Terminal 3 Project for SGB/Al Naboodah Laing O'Rourke, preparing over 1500 drawings & in conjunction with our Team Leader supervising the other Design team members & erection of the equipment on Site. Continued working with SGB based in Techno Park, Dubai looking after the UAE Design Office and assisting with other Regional Design Offices. Released by SGB after almost 21 years in April 2015. Now enjoying the role of Engineering Design Manager at Al Laith Scaffolding LLC, focusing on scaffolding projects for the Events Industry and Construction Industry. Focused, dedicated, punctual, mindful of environmental issues, would love to see a paperless office one day, times are changing but we are getting there!
