About Malefia Tadele

My interests are nature conservation, environment, and sustainability. I have always a passion for the environment and the desire to work with vulnerable communities. I have been working passionately on climate mitigation and climate smart agriculture projects. Building the capacities of local NGOs and government organizations on climate change, raise awareness about climate change and its impact, engage and support rural communities to mitigate climate change by taking measures through initiating GHG reduction and or removal projects and adapt to climate change impacts. I have seven years’ relevant work experience in the area of natural resource management, carbon finance project, Agro-forestry, climate smart agriculture, livelihood improvement. Currently, I am managing an Afforestation Reforestation (A/R) project which is under validation to be registered under the verified carbon standard (VCS). Likewise, I have been facilitating the implementation of pilot project on promotion of Evergreen Agriculture for sustainable farm productivity and carbon sequestration in selected peasant association in collaboration with local NGOs.
