About Malhar Padhee

I am a power and energy systems engineer with over six years of experience in developing custom software tools and in utilizing a range of industry standard software for operation and planning of power grids with solar photovoltaic and wind penetration. My work has resulted in several highly-cited journal publications, and multiple awards and scholarships during my graduate studies. I have worked on a variety of relevant projects related to operation and planning, dynamics and control, and protection of renewable-rich power systems. These experiences were gained as a Power Systems Research Engineer at Arizona State University (ASU), USA, and Central Power Research Institute (CPRI), Bangalore, and as a Power System Studies Intern at Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc, Quanta Technology, LLC, and Argonne National Laboratory, all based in the USA. These projects have assisted me to hone my problem solving and analytical skills.My work experience and volunteer work as Treasurer of the Power & Energy Society Chapter in Phoenix, USA have further developed my communication, organizational, and decision-making skills as well as the ability to work both as part of multidisciplinary teams and independently. I have also mentored junior research engineers while working at ASU and CPRI.
