Background

About Malik Cochran

The majority of my professional background is embodied within the hospitality industry. This includes my work in theme parks such as Sea World and Universal where I worked as a Restaurant Host engaging with guest and developing quick thinking strategies to improve guest satisfaction. I then transitioned to a client-centered environment with the travel industry where I began my work at Sabre as a Reservations Agent. During my time there, I handled high volume calls from potential and current hotel guests where I answered any question and acted on behalf of the executive-level hotels that my team represented. For a time after, I worked with Full Sail University as an Admissions Guide conducting admission interviews with prospective students and getting their documents in order so they can begin classes by the start date. During these years, I was also studying English at the University of Central Florida where I graduated in December of 2021. There I took classes in creative writing, historical literature, and world literature. The main goal of many of my classes consisted of abstracting information from a text and constructing my own perspective on it to share with my colleagues. Moving forward, I would like to use these skills to provide other with insight into information they feel is vital to them.
