About Malik Dye

I am a young professional who is enthusiastic about making connections, impacting the lives of others, and giving back to my community. I am currently looking to use my skills to make myself an asset in the information technology world while increasing my personal and leadership development. I was a member of the executive board as treasurer of the Martin Luther King Scholarship Association at Seton Hall University. The organization is dedicated to molding future leaders while also raising awareness about social issues that are prominent in our communities. I transitioned into the treasury position in Spring of 2013 and have successfully handled the organization's finances until graduating in May of 2016. Through this program I was the co-chair of a health awareness program that was held for the SHU community, I have mentored peers, and have had the opportunity to talk to public school students about the importance of higher education. I am also an Inroads alumni and consider myself a leader in the objective to diversify corporate America. Inroads provides their interns with the tools, connections, and mentoring needed in order to allow us to connect with other like-minded individuals, broaden our network and perform at our full potential. I am currently an Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP) participant at Lockheed Martin and am given the opportunity to work in various roles throughout the company. Aside from my leadership and academic roles, I enjoy playing sports, spending time with my family, and traveling. I have visited many parts of this continent and have driven from New Jersey to California, New Jersey to Canada, New Jersey to Florida, and New Jersey to Louisiana. I also enjoy international traveling. Ask me about my trips! I enjoy new experiences and hope to find a career which will allow me to travel the world.
