About Malik Jackson

I’m Malik, a serial entrepreneur and startup generalist with a soft spot for bold ideas, social ventures, and the entertainment space. At heart, I’m a Swiss-army-knife operator for early-stage startups. I’ve supported 30+ companies across operations, people/HR, product, GTM, and fundraising through roles at Techstars, consulting work, and community leadership. I’m most useful where things are messy, scrappy, and still being figured out.I’m currently building Fylm TV, a creator-economy platform rethinking how independent films are discovered, validated, and acquired. The goal is simple but ambitious: fix the broken indie film pipeline by restructuring how films gain traction and how studios discover IP, using real audience engagement instead of luck or gatekeeping. Also runs and lives by being part of communities. I've built and run Everything Startup, a founder community of members focused on early-stage execution and learning by doing. I also own Filmmakers Helping Filmmakers, a global community of filmmakers, actors, and writers supporting one another through collaboration, feedback, and shared resources in the industry.Beyond my own communities, I mentor and contribute across multiple founder ecosystems, including r/startups and optiMize, helping early builders think through strategy, operations, and growth.I love working at the intersection of startups, creators, and systems that actually help people win. If you’re building something meaningful, especially in media, community, or social impact, I’m always down to connect on LinkedIn.In the filmmaker space: FylmTV@gmail.comSeeking investment: https://forms.gle/SkpiJAunCFo4cb3B9
