Malik James is a proud attorney and fourth generation United States Marine. Following 9/11, Malik enlisted as an infantry Marine and was quickly promoted to sergeant. He served a tour in Iraq as a light armored recon Marine sergeant. Following his tour, he was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps as a platoon sergeant and immediately pursued his law career. Malik graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City’s School of Law in Kansas City, Missouri. While in law school, he worked as an advisor for Western Aid of Missouri and the Kansas City Mexican Consulate where he provided free legal services to minorities, those needing financial assistance and Mexican nationals. He practices law in his hometown of Kansas City and focuses on personal injury, employment discrimination and DUI cases.
