About Malika Freeman

While in college, Malika hopes to get experience in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering and use her passion for community outreach to encourage the next generation to pursue a career in STEAM. She is currently Region 3 Programs Chairperson for the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and uses her position to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community. She also works with Vision Days and works within the Alabama Black Belt to help students become college-ready. After college, she would like to work with a company that has an inclusive, teamwork environment and is always looking for ways to better themselves and the world around them. She also wishes to be the building block of the company and use her previous experience to strengthen the company and leave a positive imprint on her community.
