About Malin Grape

Dr. Malin Grape is the Swedish Government’s Ambassador on Antimicrobial Resistance. She represents Sweden and the Swedish multisectoral work to counteract AMR and its consequences in international fora as well as the EU, advocating for cooperation and reinforced global action. In her previous role as lead for the national programme on antibiotics and infection control, she developed the unit to a highly performing multi-talented team. In parallel, as co-chair of the national intersectoral coordination mechanism on AMR, Dr. Grape was instrumental in improving the results from the cooperation between 25 governmental agencies, organisations and civil society on AMR. With extensive experience from international cooperation and research in low- and middle-income countries and as Director for the Public Health Agency’s WHO Collaborating Centre on AMR, Dr. Grape has led ODA- and research-funded work on developing as well as on implementing policies, guidelines, and surveillance programmes in various contexts. AMR collaborations with academia, civil society, and governmental partners from countries such as Mozambique, China, India as well as the Nordic-Baltics achieved tangible results, varying from national capacity building to peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals.
