About Malina Smith

My mom told me she used to be very frustrated with my stubbornness, but then she said she now admires it. My name is Malina, and being stubborn is one of my skills. Although stubbornness can have a bad connotation, my determination gives me a motivated attitude and willingness not to give up. I was raised to give my all and not be a quitter. I love working on projects that provide me with opportunities to learn until I get it right. I recently took a class that required me to write Python code for an assignment. After 10+ hours of ensuring the code ran smoothly, I got it to work and received an A. Although a career in accounting may not have me write code, this example gives you a deeper understanding of my stubbornness. I wanted to keep going until I made sure the code worked correctly. When I'm not working or studying, I'm an avid skier, play-goer, new movie-watcher, and burger enthusiast. Skills: Basic SQL and Python, Excel-Certified, adapts to changes easily, active listener, and motivated spirit.
