About Malisha Mishoe

As a dedicated Psychology Instructor with six years of experience in higher education, I am passionate about fostering a deep understanding of psychological principles and supporting the academic and personal growth of my students. My role in academia has allowed me to develop a strong foundation in teaching, mentoring, and communicating complex concepts clearly. Currently, I am enhancing my expertise through the Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Albany State University. I am currently an intern at Zoe Counseling and set to graduate in May 2025. This program has provided me with hands-on experience in individual and group therapy sessions, comprehensive assessments, and the development of treatment plans. These experiences have enriched my ability to support clients dealing with a range of mental health issues and have complemented my teaching career by deepening my practical knowledge of mental health. My journey in the mental health field has been further enriched by my first master's degree in Psychology with a focus on Life Coaching. This unique combination of academic and practical training has allowed me to integrate life coaching techniques with clinical mental health practices, providing a holistic approach to both my teaching and counseling roles.
