Malissa has over 15 years of experience in the staffing industry, specializing in full-cycle recruiting and has a strong commitment to continued business and professional development. Her career began while attending law school, when she initially joined a staffing company in Santa Monica as a temp, and instantly found her passion for the Recruitment field. After years of success as a Senior Recruiter, she held the title of Director of Staffing & Recruitment for four years for a real estate staffing firm and managed both an inside team of recruiters, and 500+ field agents. She oversaw the national development and application of best practices company-wide and customized programs to serve client partners as well as being responsible for creating and maintaining policies and procedures for all aspects of recruitment, including advertising. Most recently, Malissa has provided her HR Consulting and Recruitment services on a contract basis, to a variety of companies nationally, advising on company restructures, sourcing candidates, and making successful placements for positions ranging from retail/sales to executive/corporate levels. Candidates and clients both agree that her warm approach and talent of intuitive placements make her a valued asset to the staffing world and she enjoys working closely with both candidates and clients to create an effective, lasting partnership. She is a Certified Sales Professional and actively involved with the Sales & Marketing Council and is currently working towards an advanced degree in Human Resources. In her off-time, she's an avid, voracious reader, loves old movies and day trips and exploring new places, discovering dining experiences, making memories and is a single mom of two teens and their two Siamese cats they rescued from shelters in San Diego and Long Beach in late 2013:)
