About Mallory Blessing

I have been an integral part of our family-owned and -operated flooring stores since 2001 when we purchased Carpet Depot in Tavares, FL. My mother comes from the health care field and has worked as a nurse practitioner throughout the Lake County area. My father comes from an accounting background and has held a number of high level corporate accounting positions in both south and central Florida. I began my career in the flooring industry working primarily in the summer until I achieved my bachelor's degree in accounting. In 2006, we took the opportunity to purchase a second store in Bushnell, FL and renamed it Carpet Depot & More. My mother became the president of the smaller store while my father maintained his position in Tavares. I became vice president and secretary of our smaller location. In 2009 I moved back to Lake County to work full time at Carpet Depot & More in Bushnell. I expanded both my product and installation knowledge through courses such as Shaw University and on-the-job training. I work with the customers (design, sales, estimations, etc.), run the warehouse (evaluate par levels, organize products, cut and pack materials) and perform accounting functions (entering and paying bills, reconciliations, accounts receivable management, etc.). Having been a competitive swimmer for 15 years, I take passion and pride into every endeavor. I believe in doing something right the first time, even if it takes more time and effort. I approach all customers and potential sales with honesty and humility. I truly love what I do.
