About Mallory Goldman

I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."- Maya Angelou I'm always challenging myself to seek understanding in all things and cherish the connections we foster with people. I apply this philosophy to all aspects of my life including my nursing career. I've spent the last three years traveling between Michigan and New York as a critical care/ ICU travel nurse while completing my Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice while obtaining certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor. I am a certified nurse educator and a member and advocate for LGBTQ+ folks in healthcare. I am also seeking certification as a palliative care provider and completed my doctoral project in the arena of palliative care titled,"Improving Symptom Burden Management in Oncological Surgical Patients Through Screening and Palliative Care Referrals." My experience as a traveling nurse and graduate student has broadened my understanding of systems and moving within our systems to improve care, allocate resources and problem solve. Systems thinking has taught me how to better foster diversity, equity, and inclusion in all that I do. My goal is to bring this knowledge and understanding to my bedside care as well as classrooms, as we raise the next generation of nurses.
