About Mallory Hafner

I started my career at a New Mexico-native community bank, First Community Bank, where I was allowed to learn business and Human Resources from the ground up. During my seven years at the bank, I assisted in two acquisitions of other banks, benefits administration (medical, dental, vision, short term care, long term care, 401(k) and life insurance), background checks, new hire orientation, file organization and maintenance and audits. After attaining my degree in HR, I pursued Southwest Airlines and moved to Dallas, TX to be an Administrative Assistant for five Senior Directors in Ground Operations. I learned a lot about the business through each of them and was promoted to a Project Administrative Specialist a year and a half later. During my time as a Specialist, I have been the Team Lead for Ground Operations AirTran acquisition bringing nearly 2,300 AirTran employees over to Southwest. In addition, I have maintained agendas, notes and action items for our Senior Leaders. I was promoted to Analyst on the Operations Portfolio Support Team for Ops Performance and have been more involved in overall planning for Operations. I have helped stand up the Operations Portfolio to house all operations projects and enable our Executives to govern projects to make our workforce as efficient as possible while keeping our costs as low as possible. Throughout my career at Southwest, I have been heavily involved in our corporate culture - community outreach and giving, employee appreciation and event organization.
