About Mallory King

I have 13 years of experience in the commercial airline industry. My career began back in 2010 with Virgin America Airlines as a Guest Service Teammate at the Seattle-Tacoma International airport. In becoming a Lead, I was able to grow my leadership skills. I held the role of Safety Coordinator and conducted monthly safety meetings with multiple vendors, conducted weekly safety audits, managed the local emergency response plan, and collaborated with Port of Seattle Police to present active shooter training. Prior to Virgin America merging with Alaska Airlines, I acted as Lead Trainer. During that time, I was responsible for the on-boarding of new employees, and during the transition, I was responsible for coordinating cross-training for employees and ensuring training records were kept up to date. In 2018, I took on a temporary role as a Station Supervisor. My daily tasks included oversight of daily operations and staff, federal regulations compliance, conflict resolution, and reporting. In 2019 I transferred over to the Pilot Scheduling department as a Pilot Scheduler which continues to be my current role. My responsibilities include federal regulation and contract compliance of flight crew members, collaboration with our System Operations Control center to ensure safe and efficient operation and communicating vital information to flight crew members.I am currently attending the University of Washington School of Law to obtain my Master of Jurisprudence with the intention of moving into a public service role.
