I am a working toward my PhD in Clinical Psychology at George Mason University. I have experience studying mindfulness-based interventions and emotion development in young children as well as socioemotional neural processing in adults with alcohol use disorder (AUD) using fMRI. My current interests surround social influences (parenting, peer relationships, neighborhood factors) on emotion development and neural functioning in the development of risky substance use behaviors in adolescents. I am passionate about advancing scientific knowledge of socioemotional influences on harmful substance use patterns and implementing such knowledge into empirically-supported treatments.
