About Mallory Mueller

I am a new Professional Development Specialist with a primary focus on precepting and mentoring programs for my organization. I believe precepting and mentoring are essential to the success of our new team members and maintaining a skilled and competent clinical workforce. I have over 13 years working in a level IV Neonatal Intensive Care unit and have worked for the last 7 years as a Clinical Education Specialist within the NICU. I have a passion for caring for some of our most complex patients and helping their parents learn and understand the conditions their babies are diagnosed with. I also work closely with our new graduate and new experienced nurses transitioning practice. I believe in making education fun, easily accessible and relevant for our team. I have helped redesign our organization’s Research, Evidence-based Practice, and Quality Improvement Council and have served as a co-chair for the last 4 years. I want frontline staff to feel empowered to ask questions and make change. I also am challenging myself to grow professional through conducting my own research studies.
