Too often, universities, training centers, and young engineers focus heavily on theory but encounter the same challenges: • Limited hands-on experience with testing and commissioning tools. • Minimal exposure to industry-level system design challenges. • Difficulty turning academic knowledge into sustainable, scalable solutions. The result? Renewable energy education risks producing knowledge without impact. Now imagine a different reality: Students and engineers who not only understand solar PV but can confidently design, size, test, and implement on-grid, off-grid, and solar pumping systems. Professionals who leave the classroom with industry-ready skills to deliver cleaner, safer, and more reliable energy solutions. That’s where I come in. I am Mamdouh Ibrahim, a Renewable Energy Technologist and Teaching Assistant at Delta Technological University. Since graduating with Distinction and Honors as second in my class, I have combined academic expertise with hands-on field training in on-grid, off-grid, and solar pumping systems. As an instructor in the PV Design Diploma, I guide learners through PV system design, sizing, and commissioning—using real-world tools such as the PV-Check Tester to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with international standards. My portfolio includes projects in solar-powered systems, protection circuits, solar desalination with thermal storage, and classic/PLC control. I am also proficient in PVsyst, Proteus, and SolidWorks for design and simulation. Beyond technical expertise, I am passionate about teaching, mentorship, and career development. I help students and professionals strengthen not only their engineering skills but also their employability—covering resume writing, LinkedIn branding, and interview preparation. My mission is to bridge the gap between education and industry by empowering the next generation of renewable energy engineers to deliver sustainable, efficient, and scalable solar solutions for both power and water—while contributing to the global transition toward clean energy.
