About Mamta Mehra

As an environmental professional with nearly 15 years of experience, I specialize in nature-based solutions with a focus on climate and financial modeling for carbon sequestration and avoided emissions across forests, grasslands, croplands, and oceans. My work emphasizes a systemic and integrated analysis to avoid double counting and over-estimation in these solutions. I also provide strategic and climate advisory services to organizations implementing nature-based solutions, including regenerative agriculture, across North America, Latin America, Africa, and Asia. I am a contributor to the New York Times bestseller Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming and have authored numerous peer-reviewed papers. Over the past few years, I’ve deepened my expertise in regenerative agriculture. My career goal is to advance nature-based solutions that are free from greenwashing, helping farmers and local communities become the true champions of these efforts to reverse global warming.
