Man Lu is a specialized process engineer with expertise in process design, reactor design and process control. With excellent hands-on ability and a professional background in unit operations design (including distillation, fuel cells, and solvent extraction) and process simulation (such as filtration systems and refining), Man brings over 3 years of invaluable lab research experience to the table. Man's unique skill set also extends to offering biosensor design and consulting services to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). Moreover, she is actively involved in providing lab skill training and safety training to various trainee groups, ranging from assistant professors and PhD students to undergraduates and technicians. In addition to her process engineering proficiency, Man Lu boasts a strong background in environmental engineering, with a focus on soil, water, and air quality. She has successfully completed several fieldwork assignments, including phase I and phase II soil sampling, as well as water sample collection. Her research in soil treatment has led to the publication of articles, with a particular emphasis on photodegradation for wastewater treatment.
