Born and raised in Kenya’s arid landscape, I’ve witnessed the profound impacts of marginalization, climate change, and insufficient infrastructure. These experiences have fuelled my commitment to a career in development work.+: With over a decade of experience, I specialize in strategic planning, networking, program design, and donor relations as a Senior Program Manager. My passion lies in creating positive change through impactful programs and partnerships: In 2023, I successfully managed a multi-country program spanning seven East and Southern African countries, funded by UNICEF ESARO. This initiative addressed critical issues and made a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable communities: At CISP, I spearheaded a business strategy that attracted €3.5 million in 2023. As the technical focal point, I cultivated relationships with diverse donors and crafted high-quality proposals: I coordinated research, supervised staff, and ensured compliance with donor requirements. My commitment to transparency and accountability is unwavering: During my tenure at Mercy-USA, I managed WFP grants in Somalia, overseeing program management, budgeting, and strategic decision-making across four regional offices. I prioritized program integration and implemented accountability policies to create safe spaces for children: I hold a BSc in Environmental and Biosystems Engineering and am currently pursuing an MSc in Civil Engineering (Water Resources) from the University of Nairobi. My technical expertise complements my passion for making a difference: Fluent in English, Somali, and Kiswahili, I am proficient in MS Office and various engineering software.
