About Manar Ghaleb

My passion for education and learning has driven my career for the past 10 years. My educational and professional background lies in mathematics, special, and international education. I have completed an MEd in the learning sciences (design-based learning) to enrich my knowledge of educational best practices and how to best serve special needs students. My approach to education is to creating a safe environment where all learners take risks, make mistakes, and learn from them. I support problem based learning, varied forms of assessment, and student agency in learning. As an educator, I have also coached, advised, and guided students in applying to specialized programs and post-secondary institutions, and in applying for jobs. I have coached individuals, including my students, in resume and cover letter writing as well as preparing for interviews. My second passion is in the field of cognitive and educational psychology. I'm currently taking professional development courses to become certified to conduct cognitive and academic assessment. One of my future goals include furthering my graduate and post-graduate studies in the field of cognitive and education psychology.
