About Manda Sims

Over the course of my 24 year career, I’ve developed a skill set including extensive knowledge in investigations and insurance procedures. Overall, I have consistently demonstrated extensive administrative abilities, self-motivation and discipline in every aspect of my previous roles. For 14 years I worked as a short-term insurance Assessor at Hollard, MiWay, SIAS/Outsurance and again MiWay after receiving an offer to return. As an Assessor my role included validating vehicle theft and accident claims, report writing and presenting of findings and recommendations to management on approving or repudiating claims. As a requirement to work in the financial services industry, I had to complete a FAIS accreditation course. My early work experience includes 10 years service in the South African Police Service where I served predominantly as a Detective investigating a variety of criminal cases from burglaries to major crimes such as murders and fraud.
