With over 20 years of experience in the accounting field, I am a certified public accountant and a director of accounting and financial reporting at Carriage Services, a leading provider of funeral and cemetery services in the US. In my current role, I oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations, and manage the external audit process. I also partner with senior management to provide financial analysis, guidance, and insights to support strategic decision making and growth initiatives. Previously, I served as an assistant controller and a corporate accounting manager at Carriage Services, where I was responsible for various aspects of the corporate accounting function, including consolidation, intercompany transactions, account reconciliations, and internal controls. I have a strong background in financial accounting, reporting, and auditing, as well as a passion for delivering high-quality and timely financial information to internal and external stakeholders.
