About Mandy Patterson

At the tender age of 5, my grandfather was in a work related accident that left him with a spinal cord injury and in a wheelchair. Through his rehabilitation process, I recognized early on that my mission in life was to help others in the medical profession as others had poured into my grandfather’s recovery process. As an occupational therapist with years of experience in many different sectors of health care including acute and subacute hospital, assisted living, home care, early intervention, and hippo therapy, I recognized a gap in this country’s health care services. I have been a key team player on many multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams, but discovered that there should be more of an emphasis on wellness and prevention in our communities. This spawned my passion and excitement for holistic health and wellness, and this drives my personal and business mission in life on a daily basis. In my quest for teaching health and wellness in our community, I obtained a holistic health coaching certification through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and completed a 200-hour yoga certification through the Yoga Alliance. My dream of owning my own wellness consulting business became a reality 12 years ago with the birth of my own boutique concierge practice online mandypatterson.com. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be able to get to do what I love every single day: coaching women to live abundant, health-inspired lives. I presently work one-on-one and groups with women to optimize their hormones and fertility. I have a specific interests in adrenal/thyroid, gut health, hormones and infertility. I teach local and virtual health seminars, webinars, workshops, and classes with the aim of inspiring healthy living. I currently run my own podcast, Gutsy Fertility, where I get to share my personal and professional experiences and expertise in the health arena. I have completed a naturopathic doctorate with a focus and concentration in digestive health and two certifications in functional medicine through the School of Applied Functional Medicine and the Institute of Functional Medicine to add to my toolbox of knowledge. I have completed year long mentorships with Dr. Dan Kalish in Functional Medicine, Dr. Aviva Romm in herbalism, and Dr. Aumatma Simmons in infertility. I love sharing with others my passion for gardening as a certified Master Gardner through Purdue University and herbal educator. I believe that each day is a gift and to live it to the absolute fullest!
