About Mandy Tran

When reflecting on my work history, education, and real-world experiences, I would summarize myself as both an innovative and an outgoing personality. From a young age I was drawn to the world of business. I concentrated my studies in the field of marketing with a minor in art. Through my college career I maintained Dean's List honors. After an internship in the marketing department of Washington Sports and Entertainment, and completion of my Bachelor's Degree at Towson University, I applied and was accepted into a role at Discovery Communications. Throughout my tenure at Discovery, I became an expert in the area of on-air and off air media planning, and learned to understand consumer behavior and patterns through data analysis. I mastered the ability to provide creative, innovative, and forward-thinking leadership in a team environment, and was later promoted to a Media Manager, focused on the TLC brand within Discovery. Through this role, I masted the ability to develop off air strategies, and designed comprehensive media plans to support marketing initiatives that are continuously improving business performance. I oversee at team of 2 direct reports, and provide mentoring to help them achieve their goals within our organization. In May of 2013, I completed 2.5 years of graduate studies that led to my Master's Degree in Business Management from The Catholic University of America.
