About Mandy Tranter

I am a freelance Editor with more than 20 years experience of working in broadcast television. I enjoy the creativity of being an offline editor, and having the ability to produce something visually exciting and unique on each project. My edits are often a collaborative experience as I like to engage with a producer to ensure the narrative is clear and impactful. I am also confident to work independently and always strive to exceed the client's expectations with my creativity. My attention to detail and good technical knowledge help me to communicate well with producers and executives to drive a project to completion. Being proficient in Avid and Premiere Pro, I have edited across many broadcast formats from RTS award winning factual entertainment programming, scripted children’s TV, live broadcast features, and a large variety of documentary genres, including true crime, current affairs, and observational documentaries. My broadcast credits include DIY SOS (BBC1), Britain's Most Expensive Houses (Ch4), Devon & Cornwall (Ch4), The Yorkshire Vet (Ch5), We Are England documentary series (BBC1), The Bad Skin Clinic (Discovery+), My Kitchen Rules UK (Ch4), and Maddie's Do You Know (CBeebies). Besides my television work, I have edited for social media platforms (BBC3) and edited short films for cinematic broadcast (Royal Shakespeare Company).
