About Mandy Witt

Mandy Witt is a highly motivated and dependable Ergonomics Specialist with considerable experience in workplace safety, ergonomic, and injury prevention strategies. Mandy has a background in Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Catherine University. She has specialized in ergonomics and injury prevention for the past 16 years. Ms. Witt has over 8 years of healthcare experience and has worked closely with all departments developing ergonomic and injury prevention programs, and strategies aimed at improving the safety, and productivity of employees in the healthcare setting. She co-managed the system Safe Patient Handling and Ergonomic Programs at Fairview Health Services. Her work within the healthcare setting included developing and implementing comprehensive safe patient handling resources for patient care providers, providing hands-on safe patient handling and department trainings, ergonomic evaluations, and return-to-work assessments. Ms. Witt has also facilitated multiple employee safety committees and department leadership injury reduction strategy groups. She is proficient with communication skills of employees and leaders at all levels. She is a certified ergonomics evaluation specialist, OSHA certified, and has provided ergonomic consultation for new design/construction/remodels within the healthcare setting. Currently, she is an Ergonomics Specialist for the Marsh & McLennan Agency (MMA) Upper Midwest Team. Ms. Witt was the recipient of the University of Minnesota Medical Center-Fairview Friend of Nursing Award for her dedicated work and assistance with providing injury prevention/ergonomic services to Perioperative nursing. Ms. Witt presented at the Tampa VA's 2014 and 2015 National Safe Patient Handling Conferences in Orlando, FL and Glendale, AZ. She understands the importance of injury prevention and enjoys helping keep employees safe, comfortable, and productive on the job.
