I am a fully qualified Careers Guidance (QCG) Practitioner and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) with 19 years of invaluable experience in the Higher Education (HE) sector. At Coventry University, I’ve led the design and implementation of a Graduate Attributes Framework embedded across 200+ courses. I have partnered with academics to shape the future of education by identifying, designing, developing, contextualising, and embedding core skills training into degree programmes. I thrive on initiating and supporting pivotal projects that span faculties, colleges, and university subsidiaries. This work has contributed to measurable improvements, including increased employability scores and higher employer satisfaction ratings. In addition, I’ve collaborated with enterprise clients to commercialise internal educational tools, driving new revenue streams and boosting business engagement. I have also partnered with FE colleges to embed key attributes and skills into their curricula, ensuring students are better prepared for the demands of a rapidly evolving job market. My HE journey began in career coaching, where I supported over 500 students annually to achieve positive graduate outcomes—85% reported increased career readiness, and 40% secured interviews or job offers within three months of programme completion. This student-centred ethos still drives me today, as I work across faculties, colleges, and international partners to build future-ready, industry-aligned learning experiences. From strategy design to implementation, I thrive on delivering transformative projects, creating training content, and embedding practical employability skills at scale. With a strong foundation in stakeholder engagement, project management, and commercial thinking, I bring empathy, structure, and impact to everything I do. I have a strong dedication to influencing the future of education and career development, as well as assisting employers in bridging the skills gap and effectively selecting the right candidates from the very beginning. Before venturing into the field of teaching and education, my career spanned management roles in the Finance and Telecom sectors, including positions as a Project Manager, Marketing & Communications Manager, and Business Development Manager. My ability to develop innovative and practical solutions was instrumental in achieving success in these roles.
