As a Compliance Head, I am responsible for overseeing and managing the overall compliance function within the organization. This involves developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures, monitoring regulatory changes, and ensuring that the company operates within legal and ethical boundaries. Responsible for the Financial Intelligence Unit, which focuses on identifying and reporting instances of suspicious financial activity. This involves monitoring transactions, conducting investigations, and reporting any potential cases of money laundering or terrorist financing. A key component of my profile is Anti-Money Laundering, which involves implementing measures to prevent and detect the use of illegally obtained funds within the organization. This includes conducting customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, and reporting any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities. I oversee the development and implementation of compliance policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and enable consistent and efficient operations within the organization. Also, involved in addressing and mitigating financial crime risks within the organization. This includes designing and implementing controls to prevent fraud, money laundering, bribery, corruption, and other illegal activities that could harm the financial system.
