Background

About Manjit Buttar

I am currently working at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center on the Cardiology/Progressive Care Unit. Prior to this, I worked as a medical-surgical nurse at the Cleveland Clinic and spent 11 years as a lead pharmacy technician at Euclid Hospital. My extensive background in pharmacology has made me a trusted resource among colleagues and a strong advocate for medication safety. Patient care is my highest priority. As a VARN nurse, I support vascular access needs to ensure timely and effective treatment. Being trilingual in Punjabi, Hindi, and English allows me to bridge communication gaps and deliver culturally competent care. Throughout my 24-year healthcare career, I have received numerous caregiver awards from both patients and leadership, including two DAISY Awards for excellence in nursing. I am MSCRN and CCRN certified and actively involved in professional development as a member of Shared Governance, the Unit Practice Council, and as a Unit Practice Leader.
