About Manolo Mantero

Supervised 450 shots for Oscar, BAFTA and VES winner, highly acclaimed Dune. Recently nominated to the EMMY awards for his work on Stranger Things season 04. Manolo started his career in the VFX Industry in 1995. Before entering the world of post production for film, Manolo was for more than ten years VFX Supervisor for the advertisement industry in Europe and Australia, where he was able to accumulate lots of on-set experience. This practical contact was essential when he worked as Client side VFX Supervisor for 2013’s ‘Return to Nim’s Island’. Ten years later he has credits for 20 titles and more than shots under his belt. His expertise in both 2D and CG allowed him to quickly rise through the VFX ranks, working on renowned projects such as Ridley Scott’s ‘Alien: Covenant’ (2017), Warner Bros.’ ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ (2016), and Bryan Singer’s ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ (2016). He recently finished working as Sequence Supervisor on Denis Villeneuve’ highly anticipated ‘Dune’ and on Kenneth Branagh’s Death on the Nile. Last year he finished work on Netflix’s ‘Rim of the World’ as VFX Supervisor and on Sony Pictures’ spinoff movie ‘Men in Black: International’ as Montreal’s Supervisor. Since graduating from University with an Honors Degree in Computer Graphics and Fine Arts, Manolo has lived and worked in the UK, Europe, Australia and Canada.
