About Manuel Augusto

As the Global Head of Virtual Stores & New Business Models at Unilever, I lead the strategy and execution of the e-commerce direct-to-consumer business in on-demand delivery platforms, such as Uber Eats, Doordash, and Delivery Hero. I oversee the physical distribution of more than virtual stores in over 40 markets, as well as the optimization of in-app traffic and conversion in 10 digital platforms. I am responsible for the global P&L for this channel and spearhead the innovation and implementation of new business models in digital commerce, such as social ordering, media to order, and other B2C models. I have developed my skills and competencies in omni-channel marketing, brand management, ecommerce, and customer development through my previous roles at Unilever, where I grew the ice cream e-commerce business in Portugal by 4x in one year, and supported the global scale of the online delivery business. I am passionate about B2C e-commerce and digital marketing, and I am always curious, disruptive, and looking for ways to improve. My purpose is to drive impact and become the best version of myself and inspire others to do the same.
