About Manuel Lobo

I am a dedicated Radiographer, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Radiology and a Master's degree in Healthcare Management. My expertise has specialized training in Ultrasound acquired in both Spain and England, reflecting a broad and international educational background. Currently, I serve as an invited lecturer in Ultrasound at the esteemed Dr. Lopes Dias Superior Health School, part of the Polytechnic University of Castelo Branco. This role allows me to share my knowledge and passion for radiography with the next generation of healthcare professionals. On the global stage, I am honored to be a Council Member of The International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists. This position enables me to contribute to the advancement of our profession on an international level, fostering global collaboration and knowledge exchange. In a significant leadership role, I am the Board President of the Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy Portuguese Association. In this capacity, I advocate tirelessly for the recognition and advancement of our professions, striving to highlight and enhance the value we bring to the healthcare sector. My mission is deeply rooted in the desire to expand the practice scope of Portuguese Radiographers. By applying my diverse expertise and insights, I aim to make a significant impact in a remote village in Northeast Portugal, bringing advanced radiographic techniques and healthcare improvements to underserved communities. I am on a continuous quest for new challenges and opportunities to leverage my skills for the greater good, aspiring to innovate and elevate the field of radiography both nationally and internationally.
