About Manuel Moura

I have more than 12 years of experience in software and hardware engineering projects. In the past 6 years, I have been working as software and system engineer in railway projects. During these years I have opportunity to be involved in the specification and development of software for driver’s cab HMI, in development and support of safe (SIL 2) functions for Train Control and Management System (TCMS), as data manager for TCMS, as change and configuration manager (CCM) being the interface between the vehicle and the TCMS team, as requirements and configuration manager for TCMS in different projects and latest as system engineer for a collision warning system. These different roles allow me to have a good knowledge of the complete railway vehicle lifecycle and the key milestones. Previously, I worked in design and development of Electronic Applications as project engineer, for around 6 years, being the main activities the software and hardware development, project/product management, product quality and statistical process control. Apart from the Master’s degree in Electrical and Computers Engineering, I have a Post-graduation in Integrated Management Systems – Quality, Environment and Safety.
