About Manuel Ramos

I am currently a Certified Accountant and Economist, working in accounts control and reporting at Pepsico, one of the world's largest food and beverage companies. I am also responsible for controlling and reporting accounts receivable, intercompany, fixed assets and leases in the finance department. At the moment I have also contributed to the development and improvement of work processes qith Data analysis based on Intelligent Business tools such as Power BI, Power Query and Power Apps (Automatic calculation of the bad debt reserve, automatic integration of invoicing, application for recording and monitoring financial reconciliations). Previously, worked as an internal auditor at Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, an organization dedicated to social services. My main function was to evaluate procedures, internal controls and risks present in the company, especially in the financial area. I have participated in the development of the automation of audit processes, mainly in the creation of a workflow for the internal process of the department. To help in the management of the department, I developed a program based on access and VBA to control attendance and activity. I started my professional career in a multinational environment, as an initial member of the Customers and Accounts team in the expansion of the English Bank Barclays Bank PLC. After completing my bachelor in finance, I started a new challenge in accounting and finance department of a Multinational Construction Group - FCM, Cofragens e Construções SA where I cumulatively exercised functions while leading, coordinating the team at an international level, having taken an international assignment in Brazil. A year later a new exciting opportunity arose in the Internal Audit team of the CTT. The company is the market leader in postal and courier services, the oldest company in Portugal and with relevant international presence. I was able to develop the skills as an auditor, as well as participate in the development of the implementation of risk management. With my professional career I developed characteristics that I consider essential, of which I highlight critical thinking, the ability to learn and adapt, flexibility, resistance to stress, the ability to interpersonal relationships and the ease in making decisions.
