About Manuel Vale

I have been working at MC for almost 4 years and as a Category Manager for almost 2. Throughout my tenure at MC, I have demonstrated continuous progress, advancing within the company every year. As a category manager I have been responsible for the category's business planning, strategy and P&L. In this role I have managed various categories within Modelo and Continente's supermarket chain, including Soft Drinks, Oral Care, and Body Care. Additionally, as a category manager I have been in charge of managing supplier partnerships by making regular business reviews, anticipating issues, providing solutions, defining strategies, and leading negotiations. Some examples of suppliers that I have worked with are P&G, L’OREAL, UNILEVER, BDF, COLGATE, COCA COLA, SUMOL COMPAL, SCC and SUPER BOCK. As a Pricing Analyst I managed data and constructed reference information for decision making on pricing and category management. Most of this reference information consisted of profitability analysis, competitiveness analysis, and market analysis. Before Working at MC I worked in two banks (BPI and DeutcheBank) in three different areas: M&A, Asset Management and Home Banking. During this working experience had the opportunity to work on several pitches and live deals, conducting work on M&A projects, including market analysis, financial performance and valuation. Through these experiences, I've developed a robust skill set encompassing analytical, research, and managerial capabilities, alongside negotiation, communication, and leadership skills With my extensive experience and diverse skill set, I am confident in my ability to excel in both management and financial areas
