About Manuel Varela

With over 15 years of experience in engineering, project management, and operations, I am a passionate and results-oriented leader who thrives on delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions for industrial maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO). As the Lead Program Manager at Wesco Anixter Mexico, I oversee the sales, deployment, and management of MRO integration services for key accounts in the North Zone of Mexico and the USA, with a focus on customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. In my current role, I have successfully developed five new accounts, increasing sales from $30 to $47 million dollars, and managed the billing, collection, and debt recovery processes for my clients. I also supervise the Site Managers who are responsible for identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities and growing their accounts. Additionally, I present corporate results (QBRs) and negotiate contracts and service level agreements with senior stakeholders. I leverage my skills in operational excellence, operations management, and six sigma to ensure the quality and efficiency of the MRO solutions and the satisfaction of the users and stakeholders.
