About Manuela Otti

Not your regular project manager. With a background in industrial, medical, and soft robotics, I bring a unique blend of technical expertise and project leadership. After earning an engineering degree in industrial robotics (Polytechnique Douala), a research master’s in medical robotics (Université de Strasbourg), and a PhD in soft robotics (Université Clermont Auvergne), I transitioned into project management to bridge innovation, technology, and real-world impact. Beyond academia, I co-founded and led initiatives such as Sparte Robotics and ELVIATECH, fostering robotics and AI talent in Africa through competitions and innovative projects. Today, as part of Compliance Robotics, I manage cutting-edge projects that merge innovation, strategy, and execution. I also have a strong interest in public speaking and science communication. I have won eloquence contests and proudly represented my research in the international competition Ma Thèse en 180 secondes (MT180), experiences that sharpened my ability to simplify complex ideas and inspire diverse audiences. Passionate about building synergies between research, industry, and education, I strive to shape a future where robotics and technology create sustainable and inclusive solutions.
