Preparation of product samples for evaluation, analysis and approval throughout the development process – from concept to factory trial stage and then to launch. • Participate in project meetings, with the objective of presenting samples and being informed of marketing’s product requirements. • Compile cost information on development recipes. • Conduct internal sensory evaluation and prepare relevant reports. • Prepare product for consumer and market research. • Conduct physical product stability and shelf life testing during development and confirmation after launch. • Ensure that all finished goods (manufactured products), are in compliance with updated regulatory legal standards. • Samples of product to be prepared and submitted for analysis to determine Nutritional information. Interpret the Nutritional results and update the product artwork and sign off. • Send samples to outside labs for necessary scientific analysis, interpreting results and compile reports. • Compile information for specifications for new products for handover to manufacturing. • Researching and sourcing ingredients required to optimize product cost without compromising quality. • Run trials at manufacturing site where necessary run trials at third party manufacturers or packers. • Compile information for costing value analysis recipes. • Ensure detailed records are maintained for all development done. • Assist Packaging Department with artwork signoff. • Conduct quarterly competitor sensory analysis
