About Mara Hoberman

Mara Hoberman is a freelance curator, art writer, and editor based in Paris. From 2007 to 2011 she was a curator at the Hunter College Art Galleries in New York City and until 2012 she was the project manager for the Catalogue Raisonné of the Drawings of Jasper Johns. She is currently conducting research in Paris for Joan Mitchell's Catalogue Raisonné. A regular contributor to Artforum, ArtAgenda, and the New York Times, Mara is also the special projects editor for Artforum.com. Her catalogue essays and artist interviews have been published by White Cube (London), Gmurzynska Gallery (Zurich), Deitch Projects (New York), The Swiss Institute (New York), L&M Gallery (New York), the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Essl Museum (Vienna) and the Middleheim Museum (Antwerp).
