About Mara Kessler
Studying Biological Sciences in the Honors Tutorial College at Ohio University. I will complete my B.S. in Biological Sciences in May of 2024. My career aspirations are designing and conducting microbiological research. I am currently working as an undergraduate researcher in a Natural Products lab at Ohio University's Edison Biotechnology Institute. Here I have learned many biological and organic chemistry skills such as TLC, PCR, plasmid design, column chromatography, compound extraction, HPLC, and Kirby-Bauer. Research is my passion and my goal for my current education is to learn as much as I can and form a strong foundation that will allow me to build on my research skills for my future career.
