As the Laboratory Business Development Officer, I support the University’s £6M investment in new laboratory facilities for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in the James Weir Building. My role enables CEE to capitalize on this investment by attracting new funding streams for growth in research, Knowledge Exchange and commercial activities.Our facilities are well-equipped and organised for a wide range of chemical and biological measurements related to environmental health, engineering and forensics. High-technological instrumentation and space are available to perform analytical measurements on all environmental media types. I over-see the daily activities of these facilities providing the specialist instrument support required to maintain the analytical suite, responsible for procurement, facility operations and over see health and safety.
